Julia Louis-Dreyfus lost my respect in about 10 minutes last night, as The Husband and I watched her poorly written new HBO “comedy” called “Veep,” in which an entire subplot leveraged “retard” as the punchline. What stinks is that until that moment, I had so many preconceived notions about this talented, comedic actress: I thought she was funny. I thought she knew better.
